(not so fun history fact: the word boss comes from the dutch word for master, baas, which was used by slaves and indentured servants who arrived in new york’s ports when the city, having been founded by the dutch, was called new amsterdam.)

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to shoot as much as I wanted to while in NY - being admitted to the hospital kinda throws your plans for a loop.  I won’t get into that here, that’s a story for another time and place….tho if you follow my wife you might catch a glimpse into what happened.

The shots I did get were of the more natural states of NYC. Either in The Cloisters like this image, or a bit further upstate in Beacon.  When I make my way back to NY one day, I really want to spend time outside of the city and Burroughs. To say it’s amazing out there is an understatement, and I only got to catch a glimpse of it all…
